BEWARE IMITATIONS! (April 11, 2006)
It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Recently the area has been inundated by "local" magazines which are a direct copy of the Courier, presumably with the aim of making money for their publishers. Fair enough, but advertisers should be aware that although the advertising rates of these publications may appear cheaper, you could end up paying much more as the other magazines are monthly (the Courier as you know is quarterly and is generally kept until the next edition). Be aware also that the Courier guarantees a minimum distribution of 5000 and has always done so, and is distributed door-to-door by our own dedicated team of distributors.
One last thing. If the magazine you might be contemplating using for your advertising is not registered for VAT, and more importantly does not publish an office address they may well not be a professional business that you can trust.
